MRICOP/MTSI is committed to protecting the environment and conservation of biodiversity for its sustainable development. Thus, to put our commitment into action for sustaning the environment and biodiversity in our operations, we will adopt the following principles:
- Making a policy on zero open burning for its operations
- Complying with laws and regulations endorsed by both the Nation and RSPO in relation to environment and biodiversity.
- Assessing and identifying the high conservation value (HCV) areas in order to conserve them, MRICOP/MTSI will work closely in consultation with government agencies, local communities and other stakeholders concerned.
- Applying the best agricultural practices to reduce any potential adverse impacts on environment and biodiversity arising from our activities
- Train and educate all employees, workers and villagers to understand and be aware of the benefits of the environment and biodiversity protection and conservation.
